Drunk soldiers arrested after stealing Army Bulldog and smashing cars in £100,000 rampage
This is the shocking moment a drunk soldier stole a “tank” and smashed up civilian cars in a £100,000 joyride around camp.
Two engineers were arrested after the 15 ton Bulldog vehicle was filmed on a destruction derby.
Pals said the troops went boozing off base before returning at around 1am this morning and stealing the tracked armoured vehicle.
The Fast and Furious style rampage took place in Swinton Barracks on Perham Down – which is part of the Tidworth Garrison and home of 26 Engineer Regiment.
A tanked up sapper floored the accelerator to hit the Bulldog’s top speed of 32mph.
The armoured personnel carrier – which needs a minimum crew of two – is powered by a formidable 240hp Rolls Royce engine.

Several vehicles were damaged as the tank made its way along the street – with two completely wrecked by the massive 15-tonne armoured vehicle.
The Bulldog is more than 9ft wide and 17ft long and designed to move troops over boggy battlefields.
Footage of the joyride shows a pimped up Vauxhall panel van and a silver SUV crumpled and skewed after Bulldog smashed into them.
The tank can be seen speeding off along the street as a shocked onlooker films from a window.
A trail of destruction is left in the wake of the tank as the soldiers carried out their destructive joyride.
Miraculously no one was hurt – and unsurprisingly the Bulldog was also undamaged.
The Sun understands the SUV was a Chinese made MG ZS electric vehicle – worth around £30,000 – which soldiers have been warned not to hold sensitive conversations inside due to risk of spying.
The drunken soldier then parked the Bulldog neatly in a parking bay before calmly returning to his barracks.
Images show the massive armoured vehicle slotted neatly in a parking spot, with cars around it left undamaged.
The soldier responsible for the joyride was nicked in his room by Royal Military Police at dawn as comrades discovered the devastation on camp.
A second soldier was also arrested.
The Army lists driving as one of 26 Engineer Regt’s specialist roles.
An Army spokesperson said: “We expect the highest standards from our personnel.
“Two soldiers have been arrested by the Royal Military Police following an incident at Perham Down this morning, 24th July.
“We will not comment further while an investigation is ongoing.”
