Liverpool's Phillips stance emerges as Jota sends message to title rivals
Liverpool head into the international break just one point behind league leaders Manchester City, having bounced back from disappointing results against Luton and Toulouse with a comfortable win over Brentford on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp's side will not be back in action until November 25 when they travel to the Etihad to take on defending champions City. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest news from in and around Anfield...

However, it appears unlikely Phillips will join Liverpool in the upcoming January transfer window with The Athletic reporting that the club currently have no plans to sign a new midfielder.
