BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty makes brutal comment to Saturday Kitchen star

Naga Munchetty took a swipe at Saturday Kitchen's Matt Tebbutt today on BBC Breakfast.

The seasoned presenter, 49, looked rather red-faced when the former Strictly Come Dancing star, 48, told him he was a "man that can't colour in and keep within the lines" after praising her young guest's artwork on the show. Smiling through gritted teeth, sporting a charcoal-grey shirt, Matt responded: "You're a hundred per cent correct. Thanks very much for flagging that. I haven't had to think of that for quite some time, but thank you."

Naga and Matt often trade insults and there was more banter when the Saturday Kitchen star ribbed wine expert Olly Smith for his floral shirt. Likening the design to his grandmother's blinds, it prompted Naga to say: "You need to be careful. Is your nan watching?" Matt laughed: "She's long gone. I mean, she might be, who knows?" Naga replied: "Well if you're dissing your late nan's blinds on TV, seriously what is wrong with you Matt Tebbutt?" Matt continued: "She'd find it funny." In a final swipe, Naga then said: "Olly, I think the shirt's great, as usual. Matt, you could make more of an effort."

Last week, fans wondered why Naga wasn't presenting BBC Breakfast after noticing she was missing from the sofa. It was business as usual for her co-host Charlie Stayt, who presented the flagship show with BBC Royal correspondent, Sarah Campbell. However, there was no mystery surrounding Naga, who was just taking some time off from the BBC show as she revealed she had been up in Scotland on holiday. Posting snaps of her idyllic break on Instagram, she wrote: “A week in my happy place.” The presenter, who loves to keep fit and regularly posts pictures of herself after workouts and runs, tagged Castle Stuart Golf Links as her location, which is in Inverness.

The weather looked wonderful in the sunset snaps, which included Naga and some pals on the golf course - thought to be one of the best in the world. In one spritely snap, the presenter looked quite the professional as she practised her swing with aplomb. Summing up her week away, Naga told her 63,000 Instagram followers: “Great fun, amazing weather and lots of golf to content with. Felt fabulous to be somewhere so peaceful and full of laughter with friends.” She added: “Even managed to fit in some running along the coast (and no, I didn’t run on the greens!) Can’t wait to be there again,” followed by sunshine and golfing emojis.
