KSI felt that UFC legend Conor McGregor let himself down by looking "stupid" during his callout of the social media star last month at the O2 Arena.

The YouTube boxer was ringside to watch fellow Watford native Anthony Joshua knock out Robert Helenius. Meanwhile, McGregor was in attendance to promote his new Forged Irish Stout, which was a primary sponsor for the event after he struck a successful deal with promoter Eddie Hearn earlier in the year to work on Katie Taylor's Dublin homecoming.

And after the bout, McGregor was brought into the ring for some pictures and an interview, at which point he decided to call out KSI for a bare-knuckle fight. The Irishman has generally given minimal stock to YouTube boxing, but decided to use his time on the microphone to take aim at the social media star, who faces Tommy Fury next month in Manchester.

"It was pretty weird if I'm being honest," KSI told the Misfits Boxing YouTube channel. "I think I had heard Conor saying that I can't box and this and that, it was pretty embarrassing for him because AJ was like 'nah nah, that's my guy so he looked a little bit stupid there.

"But with Conor, clearly I think he wants a bite at the cherry, he wants a piece of the king and he understands that this right here is where the money is at - everyone is a normal person at the end of the day, same as me just a normal guy and I treat everyone the same. Just because he's Conor McGregor doesn't mean anything to me."

And asked if he feels that McGregor is a potential opponent after the Fury fight, he remained coy despite admitting that he does have a keen interest. He must first take on a tough challenge in the Love Island star, who is undefeated as a professional boxer and is the younger brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson.

"You never know," he replied when quizzed on if McGregor is a possible opponent should he get through Fury on October 14. "I'm interested, I am interested. I think he was off his face, honestly, but look, either way I'm very interested."
