Congratulations are in order today because Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex turns 39 today. And his milestone celebration comes as he and his wife Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex holidays in Dusseldorf, Germany, for the 2023 Invictus Games.

And while at the Games today celebrating his birthday, the birthday boy was serenaded and showered with masses of love from spectators attending the iconic sporting event the Duke founded back in 2014. In attendance with his wife at the Merkur Spiel-Arena, an announcement was made.

"Is there anybody here celebrating their own special occasion today?" the announcer said through the speakers. They then said: "Anyone's birthday? Oh I think it is someone's birthday. A certain Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, 39 today. Happy birthday! Let's sing along."

The audience then serenaded the prince with a rendition of Happy Birthday. And although Harry clapped along to the chants while Meghan sat beside him, an expert has claimed the Duke seemed "embarrassed by all the attention". Body language expert Judi James believes Harry tried to show he was "embarrassed" by the attention but failed and instead revealed in his gestures that was "secretly happy".

This comes as Prince Harry likely realises he has been publicly snubbed by his family after they failed to send him well wishes online to mark his special day. Traditionally, members of the Royal Family wished Harry a happy birthday before 9am on September 15, but they are yet to share anything on their social media accounts, which follows on from his wife Meghan Markle's birthday on August 4.

On Meghan's 42nd birthday, no official Royal accounts posted birthday messages for the Duchess for the first time. However, the Royal Family recently confirmed that they no longer send public birthday wishes on social media to those who are not senior working members, which rules Harry and Meghan out from their wishes after they stepped down in 2020.
