Meghan Markle is 'trying to do it all' as critics slam her authenticity

Meghan Markle has been met with critiscim after she delivered a relatable speech explaining why she arrived late to the Invictus Games earlier this week.

The Duchess of Sussex took to the stage to detail her relatable reason for not being able to arrive last weekend with her husband Prince Harry. She told the crowd: "Hi everybody, it is so special to be here and I'm sorry that I was a little late to the party. Just like so many of you, we know this is about family and friends and the community that Invictus has created and the Fisher House has created.

"I had to spend a little more time getting our little ones settled at home and get them to drop off. Three milkshakes and a school drop off and I just landed a couple of hours ago and I am thrilled that the first event I can do for Invictus is here with all of you. It is amazing and I hear it has got off to a good start so far," she added.

After the touching reason for her lateness was explained, critics told The Express that Meghan's mentions of her kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, was a "calculated move" that could "raise questions about the authenticity of her claim."

However, Rochelle White, PR, Brand and Culture expert, has hit back at those claims and believes that Meghan was "just being to be honest." She exclusively told us: "I don't think that Megan is trying to hard. I feel that she is being honest and also being relatable to the fact that she is also just a mum trying to do it all."

Rochelle added: "I understand that many have their doubts about Megan and if she is authentic in what she does and how she acts, but I feel that no matter what she does or even says, it's going to be met with criticism." She concluded: "I think she is just being herself and trying to be the best that she can be."
