Coronation Street has announced a terrifying new experience for superfans of the soap.

Viewers will get the chance to sit alongside one of the soap villains as they watch an episode ahead of a tell-all Q&A session. ITV have announced tickets are on sale for the spooky event, where fans get to view a nail biting episode with the main character sitting in the same room as them.

Organisers are taking advantage of the spooky date, with the event set to go ahead on Friday 13 October. Those who attend are set for a special evening as they will also be joined by Soap expert Sharon Marshall.

Todd Boyce, who plays three-time murderer Stephen Reid on Corrie will be sat alongside the audience as they find out if he has got away with his crimes or if justice is served. Afterwards he will host a Q&A session, with superfans able to ask anything they want – nothing is off limits.

Talking about the event, Todd said: "I can’t wait to watch our fans watch me, with me, as my storyline heads towards one of its biggest moments yet! That said, I’m slightly nervous at their reaction – they all know what Stephen’s been up to, I’m just hoping Sharon is as good a bodyguard as I know she will be a host!?"

ITV’s Controller of Global Brand Licensing (UK), James Penfold added: "We know the viewers want the chance to connect more closely with our programmes and at ‘Corrie’ our new visitor centre gives us the opportunity to do just that.

"It’s exciting for all of us to be able to give fans the chance to experience something unique. This event is the start of a series of special evenings which we hope will not only give fans memories for a lifetime, it will also give our cast and crew the chance to meet the people who make the show what it is, our viewers."

Todd's character Stephen is known for murdering three people since his arrival to Weatherfield. Leo Thompkins was the first to be murdered, followed by his dad Teddy. Stephen then went on to murder his business associate Rufus, with Rufus' widow getting suspicious that her husband didn't die in accidental circumstances.
