Emmerdale spoilers tease unexpected new romance amid life-changing diagnosis
Emmerdale is lining up a new couple it seems, with romance tipped to be in the air for two unexpected residents on the ITV soap.
Cathy Hope and Samson Dingle look set for romance, as they begin to flirt next week before agreeing to a date. It comes a year after Cathy had a crush on the teen, and he rejected her leaving her devastated - but it seems he's changed his mind a year on.
Cathy had thought Samson liked her only to find out he'd slept with Amelia Spencer and she'd fallen pregnant. Samson quickly rejected Cathy admitting he didn't really like her. Next week though, the pair begin flirting amid Cathy's recent health diagnosis.
As they exchange flirty banter, the pair agreed to go on a date together that evening - but will it work out this time around? It comes after Cathy's recent health diagnosis in scenes to air this week.

Later, an upset and volatile Cathy blindsides Bob by defiantly insisting she wants to find a cure to stop her PMDD symptoms. Things then go from bad to worse when Wendy tries to intervene to which Cathy takes her anger out on her and shoves her to the ground. A desperate Bob, who recently suffered a heart attack, runs to help but feels a twinge in his chest. Later, Manpreet checks over Bob and Cathy is concerned to see her dad struggle.
Cathy then tries to check on her dad to which Wendy tells her to leave him and the teen runs off, bleeding from a cut on her hand. Later, Dr Liam Cavanagh finds Cathy at the bandstand with her hand bleeding to which she begrudgingly allows him to look at it. However, things soon spiral out of control when Cathy reluctantly appreciates Liam's promise to listen to her but soon jumps to conclusions…

The teen has found herself lashing out, as well as suffering from painful and heavy periods. Things took a worrying earlier this year when the teenager suffered from a manic episode and nearly got herself killed, as she didn't seem to realise or care about the danger she was in.
Sharing her concern, Manpreet had previously suggested the cause of Cathy's feelings and symptoms could be Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder. Manpreet explained to Bob, after recalling a case study: "We think it might be a condition known as Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder.
"It's a cyclic hormone based mood disorder. The symptoms and severity can differ between patients. A treatment that works for one person might not necessarily work for another. We need a specialist diagnosis first but I can make a referral today and get them started."
