EastEnders reunion for Alfie Moon and Kat Slater 'sealed' after hospital scene
EastEnders fans are convinced it's only a matter of time before former couple Kat Slater and Alfie Moon reunite, amid his devastating cancer storyline.
Scenes on Monday night saw the pair turn to each other as Kat finally found out Alfie was undergoing tests to determine if he had prostate cancer. Alfie begged Kat's fiancé Phil Mitchell to keep quiet about it, but the truth came out on Monday.
Kat was furious with Alfie for not telling her and feared losing him, with Alfie being the father of her children. Kat accompanied Alfie to the hospital for the results of recent tests to find out if he had the illness or not.
As Kat comforted a nervous Alfie, he decided to go in alone leaving her waiting in the corridor outside with Phil. As Alfie emerged in tears, Kat demanded answers to which Alfie told her he had been given the all clear.
Kat burst into tears before hugging Alfie, relieved to be told he did not have cancer. As the pair emotionally hugged it out, it was clear to see they still had a lot of love for each other.

EastEnders could be lining up a reunion for Walford legends and former lovers Alfie Moon and Kat Slater (BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron)Later in the pub the trio had drinks to celebrate Alfie's good news, and Linda Carter made a comment about Alfie being lucky to still have Kat. With their bond clear to see, Phil walked off and left them to it.
Kat returned home and confronted Phil, questioning if he was jealous and whether he thought Kat wanted Alfie and not him. Phil denied this, but Kat was furious claiming she couldn't trust him because he held back Alfie's scare from her.
She ended up telling him she wasn't sure she wanted to marry him after all before storming off - so is it over for the pair? Some fans were hoping so, convinced Kat and Alfie were meant to be.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "I love kat and Alfie SOOOO much they’re meant to be together," as another said: "Hopefully it's time for kat & Alfie to reunite back together, which makes sense." A third fan tweeted: "That scene says it all! Kat and Alfie belong together! Come on Chris get them back together!"
It seems Alfie is set for more heartache despite his claims to have the all clear. Just weeks ago the BBC soap confirmed the character would be diagnosed with prostate cancer. It's not yet clear if Alfie was lying about his results or if he will receive sad news later down the line.
