Two UFC fighters have interviews cut short after making same homophobic slurs
Charles Radtke and Manel Kape were forced to apologise for making homophobic slurs after their victories at UFC 293 last night.
Radtke was taking on Blood Diamond on the prelims of the event in Australia headlined by Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland's middleweight title fight. Radtke was making his UFC debut on the night and he won a decision against Diamond, who was deducted a point in the final round for an illegal low blow.
UFC legend Daniel Cormier was forced to cut Radtke's interview short as he went on a vulgar rant about the Sydney crowd. "It felt great, so f*** all you f*****s up in the f****ng crowd. Come down here and get some you p**** a*** b****," he said. Cormier then took the microphone away from Ratdke, and he did the same just hours later when flyweight prospect Kape beat Felipe Dos Santos.

Manel Kape also said sorry for his actions (Charles Radtke later apologised for using the slur)Kape praised Dos Santos for fighting him on short notice and targeted his original opponent Kai-Kara France who was sitting in the crowd. "I was supposed to fight Kai-Kara, you are a piece of s*** is what you are. I am going to fight you next, if you pull out again I'm gonna spar you at your academy. No one is going to do anything because all your teammates are a bunch of f*****s," he said.
The duo later issued apologised with Radtke tweeting: "I'd like to sincerely apologise to all UFC fans across the world and to the fans here in Sydney for the remarks I made post fight today. Those comments are not a reflection of who I am and they don't belong on a platform as great as what the UFC has provided me.

"My emotions were running high, it's hard to explain the way your mind works when you're locked in a cage to fight another man with you're entire livelihood and dreams on the line. I plan to learn from my mistakes both during and from after the fight and I'm hoping I can get an opportunity to correct them in the future."

Kape said: "I'm sorry for that, it was emotion. During the fight, during interviews we say things we don't want to say. We feel bad about that. I apologise." UFC boss Dana White was also forced to comment on the ugly situation as he echoed the apologies made by Radtke and Kape.
"That was flying around a little bit tonight. I think these guys get a little excited and you make bad mistakes. Radtke did the same thing and, you know me, we didn't run over and say, 'You'd better apologise', he did that on his own. When he got backstage, he was embarrassed, he got caught up in the moment... He got emotional and we make mistakes," he said.
