This Morning's Craig Doyle airs thoughts on Holly Willoughby amid Schofield row
This Morning regular Craig Doyle aired his thoughts about Holly Willoughby following ITV's rough Phillip Schofield scandal. The broadcaster made his thoughts and feelings on the 42-year-old known during a podcast appearance on Friday.
He called Holly the "greatest of all time" as he gushed over the "lovely" presenter who has now returned to back to ITV full-time. Craig was appearing on the White Wine Question Time podcast with fellow presenter Kate Thornton.
After stepping in following Phil's departure, sparked after Schofield admitted cheating on his wife in an "unwise" affair with a younger male colleague, Craig opened up about "helping" This Morning with the post-public scandal fallout.
Craig Doyle shared his feelings about Holly Willoughby (ITV)"I've been in and out of there for about a year and then obviously what happened happened before the summer and I was able to just kind of help them out on that front," he told Kate. "I probably enjoyed it more than...
"...well, I hadn't really considered what it would be like but it's great fun and it feels like proper old-school telly. Do you know what I mean? And it's very welcoming, brilliant production team. I love Holly. Holly Willoughby is an absolute G.O.A.T."

He added: "She's a very lovely, lovely, human being, and people need to realise that. She's unbelievable. One of the best I've ever worked with. Ever. I didn't know Holly beforehand. I'd never met her once or twice but I don't really mix in any circles, I had no pre-judgment.
"Nothing. I went in there and I only ever judge people by how they behave whilst they're in front of me. I don't care about anything else. I can spot an a******** from a distance. She is a wonderful person. A really, really kind lovely person."
On getting the nod to take over full-time, he said: "I didn't expect it. I feel like I'm on my second - if not third - lap of this business. I've had it reported back to me when gigs come up and they say 'Yeah, I like Craig, but he's just not famous enough. He's not showbiz enough, or he's not showbiz enough'. It's so nice to be enough. To quote Ken from 'Barbie'. It's nice to be enough. "
