EastEnders' Lacey Turner gives BTS look at soap and shares 20-year tradition
EastEnders' Stacey Slater star Lacey Turner has given fans a behind-the-scenes look at how she prepares for a day of filming on the BBC One soap.
Taking to Instagram, EastEnders shared a fun video showing Lacey, who first made her Albert Square debut in 2004, giving soap watchers a day in the life. It started with Lacey, 35, arriving to the studios at 8:45am, joking that it was lovely as it was "quite a late" start.
Lacey then revealed: "Just going to get my toast, which I've been having for 20 years! I've been having the same breakfast for nearly 20 years..." to which a member of canteen staff revealed it was two toasts, two butters and apricot jam followed by a latte. Lacey then received her breakfast and revealed that she sits in the same place every day as she greeted several co-stars.

After getting dressed into Stacey's costume, Lacey then teased the upcoming Christmas episodes.
This Christmas, one male character will be killed off in scenes at The Queen Vic, which sees Stacey Slater alongside Suki Panesar, Kathy Beale, Denise Fox, Sharon Watts and Linda Carter standing over a dead body. One of the women are tipped to be the killer while details of what happens and who dies remain unknown but the victim is wearing amber cufflinks.

Lacey said of the "six" and the "flashforward", which aired earlier this year and gave a teaser of Christmas in Walford: "So I have thought that I've known who it is many times and then very quickly thought: 'Well, no... that doesn't work or that's too obvious.' So I actually have no idea, I have no idea!"
The star then showed off her dressing room, which had a series of photos from her time on the BBC soap, including snaps of Stacey with late on-screen husband Bradley Branning, with the character dying in 2010. Lacey teased it was a "Bradley shrine", adding: "Bradley's dead or is he... could he reappear at Christmas?"
Lacey then had ten minutes until heading to set and upon going into filming had to leave the cameras behind, teasing there was "secret information". After filming, the actress then had to head to the ADR suite, where you add words or clearer recordings for scenes.
After a busy day of filming, Lacey then told fans she was done for the day and it was a rare early finish, joking she was going to go have a life and spend time with her children. The video was captioned with: "Ever wondered what the lovely @laceyturner gets up to during her working day? Well, here she is to show you just that… Enjoy! #EastEnders #DITL #BTS."
