ITV's first glimpse of upcoming Big Brother revival with first trailer imminent
ITV have finally confirmed when Big Brother will return to screens, released a promo photo to get fans excited, and promised the imminent first official trailer.
The long-running reality show is set to return next month - after originally airing way back in 2000 when it launched on Channel 4. The show then skipped over to Channel 5 where it aired from 2011 until 2018 - with the series going out with something of a damp squib as public interest in the show had waned.
But now the series is due to begin anew after ITV bought the rights and decided to revive the format - with some shiny new hosts lined up to introduce fans to the next batch of fame hungry wannabes. Strictly Come Dancing babe AJ Odudu and E4 presenter hunk Will Best have already been unveiled as the new hosting duo - and a promotional snap of the pair together has now been shared.
In the image, 35-year-old AJ looks dazzling in a red dress while 38-year-old Will looks smart casual in a t-shirt and suit combo. And it looks like the pair are ready for several weeks of fun and excitement as the promo image shows them smiling enthusiastically together.

Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundaries
AJ and Will follow in the footsteps of Davina McCall, Emma Willis and Brian Dowling, who all presented the popular programme during its 18-year run until it was axed in 2018 due to nosediving ratings. Last year, ITV”s Director of Television, Kevin Lygo, explained why he believed the time was right to bring the show back.
He told audiences at the Edinburgh TV Festival: We look at Love Island and we see this extraordinarily successful show that defies all current logic and goes against what people say, that young people don’t watch terrestrial television.
"And you think, every single night at nine o’clock on ITV2 and the Hub is this show for eight weeks, that more young people watch than they watch anything else. And we should all take great joy in the fact that if you get the right show, they’re going to come and watch it."
The ITV boss admitted that Big Brother is unlikely to "skew as young as Love Island does" but said the series is "arguably the sort of best thing there’s ever been on television, or most extraordinary thing, that shaped most television afterwards".
ITV announced in August that the programme would be returning on ITV2 and streaming service ITVX, with its famous house featuring a “contemporary new look”.
