Kate and William are said to have 'no desire' to meet Harry this month

As Prince Harry makes his way back to the United Kingdom, his brother Prince William and his sister-in-law Kate Middleton are said to be "dreading" the Duke of Sussex's visit.

Prince Harry is making a return to London today, with him set to present the WellChild Awards in the capital city tonight before jetting off to Germany for the Invictus Games. He is flying to London from his home in Montecito, California, for the first time since his father King Charles III's Coronation back in May.

It had been speculated that Prince Harry could partake in "peace talks" with his family following the revelations in his memoir Spare and the bombshell Netflix series he released with his wife Meghan Markle last winter. But now it has been claimed that the Prince and Princess of Wales "have no desire" to meet Prince Harry, according to a royal expert.

Kinsey Schofield from the To Di For Daily podcast said: "It is my understanding that the Prince and Princess of Wales have no desire to meet with Harry – with or without Meghan Markle. There is a severe lack of trust, and they don’t want the conversation repeated to anyone."

Speaking to Fox News, Kinsey went on to add that she suspects Prince William is "dreading" Prince Harry's arrival in Britain, which comes as he and his wife Kate are gearing up to publicly acknowledge the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's death. She added that Harry will be a distraction should he reunite with his family, which would in turn create "conflicting headlines that the palace will not appreciate".

"He’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. … It’s a tough spot to be in, but Harry seems to be prioritising philanthropy right now. I’m not surprised by his eagerness to attend," she went on to add.

This comes just seven days after reports that claimed Kate Middleton was urging the king to invite Prince Harry for a "face-to-face" chat with his brother Prince William. Last week a source told New Idea that Kate "believes there's no way they can fix things until the two brothers get in the same room and air our their grievances to each other".
