Worker shares how they got the ultimate revenge after quitting 'miserable' job
A furious worker revealed they "glitter trapped" their workplace to get back at their "horrid" boss.
The ex-employee, who used to work at a betting shop, said the "miserable" environment became too much to deal with so they handed in their notice. They claimed the shop was full of "middle-aged divorced men being sad" and described the atmosphere as "miserable." The worker accused their manager of being a "jerk" and said the staff were "mostly awful."
The worker said they decided to make the team's day-to-day difficult by targeting the posters at the shop which were kept in a wooden box that was fixed to the ground. They decided to fill the storage with glitter - meaning that whenever someone pulled out a poster they would get covered in the sparkly stuff. Glitter is notoriously hard to get rid of, and the ex-worker said they get a boost out of knowing how stuck it will be to the carpet.
They admitted that their actions were "petty" but said it still makes them laugh despite it happening a while ago, reports Birmingham Live. Explaining what they did, the user wrote: "I used to work in a betting shop in a small village. Think loud sports on at all times, and middle-aged divorced men being sad. The manager was a total jerk, the team was mostly awful and it was an all round total s***show. Anyway - I handed in my notice and was working my last shift, on my own because of course. Cherry on top of an unspeakably miserable experience.
"Herein lies the petty revenge - Our display posters were stored in a large wooden box (4ft by 6ft by 2ft) which was fixed to the floor and Impossible to shift/clean. So I emptied an industrial tub of glitter into it before I left. Now every time a poster is taken out it will puff glitter up with it."

Reddit users were left in hysterics by the worker's actions and said it was a clever move. The post, which was captioned, 'glitter trapped my workplace', received 218 upvotes. One person commented: "Good. Glitter will find its way into every crevice. If there's even a small square of carpet, it will never be clean. Bad for the environment, but I get you." Another wrote: "It may have been over a decade ago but you know they still haven’t got that glitter out." Someone else said: "I love this so much."
