Brooklyn Beckham wowed fans when he debuted his edgy buzzcut over the weekend as many compared his fresh shave to his famous dad, David Beckham's infamous early 2000's buzzcut.

The eldest child of power couple David and Victoria Beckham, unveiled his hair transformation as he showed off an on-trend buzzcut after chopping off his long locks off, but as it turns out, it wasn't Brooklyn who shaved his head - instead, it was Selena Gomez' 10-year-old sister, Gracie.

Football legend David, 48, was once upon a time famous for his many hairstyles which immediately became popular as he continued to change up his during his years playing for Manchester United and England - with his buzzcut arguably being the most popular one. And as he continues to follow in his famous father's footsteps, Brooklyn, 24, has opted for the same look over twenty years later.

Fans of the former model and ametuer chef have been complimenting him on his new look, insisting that he looks just like his dad in his younger years as they praise him for making the bold move to rock a buzzcut. However, singer Selena revealed that the hairdressing job was done by her little sister as she took to Instagram to share an array of snaps of Gracie, 10, and Brooklyn's wife Nicola Peltz, 28, shaving his head.

Posting the pictures to her Instagram Stories, Selena, 31, gushed that her little sister and Brooklyn were her 'babies' as she allowed fans a glimpse of what the group of friends get up to while hanging out. Another photo on Selena's stories saw Nicola - who is the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz - beaming from ear-to-ear while holding the hair clippers as her husband sat in front of her.

After Brooklyn debuted his new look on Instagram over the weekend, it wasn't long before fans flocked to comment on how similar he looks to his famous dad as admirers gushed over his edgy new look. "What the hell! I thought this was a picture of David from back in the day. Spitting image of one another," one swooned. "He looks so good with a buzzcut oh my days. Be still my beating heart," another echoed.

"Brooklyn with a buzzcut!!!!! This is what we needed to see in 2023," someone else quipped. While a fourth fan gushed: "This boy honestly gets better with age. This is his best look yet."

It comes after David also treated fans to a new photo of his fresh buzzcut, after debuting the dramatic hair makeover last week. The renowned footballer took to his Instagram Stories last week to share a snap of his shaved head as he vacations with family in Italy, much to the delight of his 82m followers. He tagged wife Victoria Beckham in the summery update to ask if she approves, before joking, “A little late if not.”

David's buzzcut has given fans serious flashbacks to his Manchester United days, when he first embraced the low-maintenance do. He has also sported a number of other hairstyles in the past, including long tresses, a mohawk, and even a combover.

Out of all of his salon looks throughout the years, it's his cornrows that have arguably received the most attention. David famously wore the tight braids to meet South African president Nelson Mandela back in 2003 - a decision he's not sure he would repeat today.

"We were there with family and one of Victoria’s friends who is a hairdresser," he recalled in a recent interview with the Sun. "I asked if she could do something with my hair and she said, "Do you want cornrows?" and I said, "Yeah. I don’t know what they are. But yeah". It was painful having them done but I liked them."

"People ask if I have any regrets about my hairstyles and while I don’t regret any of them, I do sort of regret the cornrows," he admitted.
