Netflix has done it again with another "sick" film which has left fans terrified.

In May, the streaming giants uploaded horror movie Soft & Quiet and fans have quickly let their feelings known on the flick, branding it "sick" and "intense," with one fan simply saying they refuse to watch it 'til the end. The horror movie was originally released last year with the plot following an elementary school teacher who organised a mixer for white supremacist women.

However, a mysterious woman from her past appears and creates a terrifying and volatile chain of events. At the time of its release, the director called the move a "timely American nightmare".

The scenes were enough to send Twitter into a frenzy, with one user confessing: "It's literally the only movie I have rented and then refused to finish. It's also the only movie I want to send to hell in the express lane." Another commented: "We turned on soft&quiet and I did not think this movie was gonna be like this...I'm highly disturbed."

A third said: "Soft & Quiet is apparently on Netflix now and i just want to warn people how f**ked that movie is," while a fourth added: "Watch soft & quiet on Netflix so intense I’m bawling my heart one of those movies that hit where your emotions are all over!!! I had to journal about it…ever saw girl next door? It’s like that emotion feelings."

The movie is far from the first production on the platform to disturb viewers. However, it's not just the traditional horror movies that give the viewers the creeps with fans recently left disgusted by Poisoned - a documentary showcasing the revolting world of food production. It left many vowing to go vegan after the sickening scenes.

Such was the outcry, a nutritionist told Mirror US viewers should be cautious about their intake, revealing the show simply highlighted several of many issues on hand in the food industry stateside. Jenna Stangland, MS RD Director of Nutrition for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Pureboost Registered Dietician, said: "The US Food industry has a long ways to go before consumers can trust what is on the shelves of grocery stores.

"Food companies use every means at their disposal—legal, regulatory, and societal—to create an environment that is conducive to selling their products in a very competitive marketplace."

However, she was also quick to add that people should never take a documentary like Poisoned at face value. "Information that sticks out as shocking or appalling, do some follow up work to validate the facts," she advised.
