Strictly's Janette Manrara gets tearful with baby daughter Lyra in sweet video
Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara has shared a touching update on her journey in motherhood as she got emotional with baby daughter Lyra.
The former Strictly Come Dancing professional who transitioned into a presenter recently welcomed her daughter, Lyra Rose Skorjanec, on July 28. Her husband and fellow Strictly star Aljaz Skorjanec was by her side and both parents have been proudly showing off their beautiful daughter since she arrived.
The couple introduced their newborn to the world with a heartwarming black and white photo, capturing their first moments as a family of three. Ever since Janette has shared sweet updates with fans as she navigates motherhood and gets to grips with looking after her newborn alongside husband Alijaz.

She wrote across the Instagram Story: "Her little cooing sounds! I cannot cope. tear in my eye as well. The hormones are still strong but so is my love for this little human".
The latest insight into Janette's motherhood journey comes as she and husband Alijaz waved goodbye to Alijaz's family this week and confessed that 'saying goodbyes are always hard'. Janette shared a series of photographs with her in-laws including snaps of Alijaz's parents parents Natasa and Srecko and his sister Lara all getting snuggles with baby Lyra.

Janette shared the sweet family moments with her followers on her Instagram profile, writing in the caption: "It was so wonderful to have @aljazskorjanec family over for the week. Again, highly spoiled by them! They cooked delicious meals everyday and helped us so much around the house, and of course gave Lyra all the cuddles in the world. Goodbyes are always hard, but as we always say to our families quality over quantity for us. Special memories made that will last forever".
Strictly dancers Janette and Aljaz had previously announced their exciting news of expecting their first child together back in February. They took fans along on their pregnancy journey, and have continued to update them now they are parents. Janette has been open about much of her motherhood journey including her C-section recovery. In an Instagram video, Janette told followers: "A couple of you have been asking how the recovery for me has been going. Today is 22 days since the surgery and, I'll be honest, I feel so much more like myself – this last week, especially. I'm able to go up and down the stairs easily, I can finally sleep on my side – because I was sleeping just sat up for almost two weeks.
"I've been getting better sleep because I've been sleeping on my side and, also, I've got help looking after Lyra. The incision is looking really good and I still feel a little bit of pain, obviously I can't do a lot of things, but the recovery is going so, so, so well."
