Fortnite server downtime and Chapter 4 Season 4 update early patch notes
Fortnite will be seeing downtime today ahead of the Chapter 4 Season 4 update. Here's everything we know so far.
With a much-needed full update coming today, we will finally be saying goodbye to Chapter 4 Season 3 of Fortnite. The new Chapter 4 Season 4 update, entitled update 26.00, won't have a live event which is no surprise considering it seems like Epic Games has left live events by the wayside.
After some pretty significant collabs this season, including a WWE crossover and as well as a Jujutsu Kaisen collab, Fortnite has been on a bit of a roll in terms of new skins and cosmetics. However, even after unvaulting a couple of exotic items, the gameplay still just wasn't doing it for me – and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So hopefully, the arrival of Chapter 4 Season 4 will change things for the better.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 downtime
Fortnite downtime is set for 8am BST / 3am EDT / 12am PDT today as confirmed by the official Twitter account. Matchmaking is typically disabled around 30 minutes beforehand so you can expect to get kicked out of a game half an hour prior.
Fortnite downtime lasts around four hours, however as this is the Chapter 4 Season 4 update, we can expect the game to be offline for even longer than this. The Fortnite Status account also stated that patch sizes may be larger than normal with this release.
