Emmerdale fans left 'feeling sick' over volcano scene as Charity & Mack reunite

Emmerdale fans were left feeling sick tonight over a volcano metaphor as Charity and Mack reunited this evening.

Mack and Charity were originally together but they split when she learned that Mack had had a one night stand with Chloe, which resulted in her becoming pregnant with baby Reuben. As a result, Charity and Mack split and he has now started dating Chloe, planning to make it work as a family with their son Reuben despite all that's gone on.

However, tonight, Mack ended up sleeping with Charity when he came by her house to ask if she could host their christening party after all. Soon, the pair were getting intimate once more, with Charity left feeling guilty afterwards.

Fans though were left distracted by a volcano euphemism, when the bicarbonate of soda and vinegar bubbled up in the papier mache volcano just at the moment that Charity and Mack shared a kiss.

Fans rushed to social media to discuss the scene, with one writing: "OMG! The volcano going off after the snog, hilarious! #emmerdale." A second added: "Mack and charity sleeping together and the volcano erupting #Emmerdale."

"That volcano metaphor. Bleurgh #emmerdale," a third wrote, with a fourth penning: "Well the timing of volcano was great #Emmerdale." A fifth shared: "The volcano “erupting” just made me chortle #Emmerdale."

Emma Atkins - who plays Charity - previously teased she will be a big part of the super soap week next month.

She told Digital Spy: "I'm very excited! Some super soap weeks I don't manage to be part of, which is just the way it goes. So to be at the centre and for it to be quite a big storm brewing – not literally a storm, we've done that!

"I just know that it's going to be spectacular in one way or another and we're due to get the scripts shortly, but it's going to be quite big. I think the future will very much be about her confronting those issues, because it's left her quite broken. At the moment she's too broken to deal with anything, but she's just letting people know it's in her arsenal, it's there, it's not going away, it's not dying down. She was hoping very much for it to do that and it's not, it's got worse."
