Davide confirms he and Ekin-Su are back together with loved-up video on holiday
Davide Sanclimenti has confirmed he is back together with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, just weeks after the former Love Island stars had called it quits.
The couple, who won the ITV2 dating show last year, surprised fans when the Italian model announced they had parted ways, and wished the Turkish TV star “nothing but the best” as they called time on their relationship. However, Davide and Ekin-Su have been fuelling rumours they rekindled their romance recently, and the 28-year-old shared a video that revealed they had reunited.
Posting a clip of him walking along the beach on his Instagram Stories, he teased fans as he wrote atop the video: “I've found someone I think I know.” He pretended to look around as he walked across the sand, and eventually reunited with Ekin-Su, who was wearing a black bikini, and the loved-up pair shared a sweet hug on camera.

He then revealed he was with Ekin-SuDespite splitting in June, Ekin-Su and Davide jetted off on a lavish holiday to Bodrum, Turkey, to celebrate the 29-year-old’s birthday, and the Italian hunk appeared to confirm they had reunited in a post on his Instagram Stories. Sharing a picture of his beloved drinking a glass of champagne, Davide seemingly touched upon their recent breakup as he wrote: “Despite all the storms, I wanted to make this day special for you... Enjoy the moment, make a wish and blow hard. Happy birthday, @ekinsuofficial.”
Ekin-Su later shared the same picture on her Instagram Stories, and added: “Surprising me like always, thank you for a good birthday.” She also shared a slideshow of snaps from her far-flung holiday, writing: “I don’t care how old I’m turning, so long as there’s cake. #29,” but she failed to mention she was on a romantic break with Davide. However, her fans were quick to comment on the post to ask why she was having dinner with her ex. “Okay but why were you with DAVIDE. Girl we need the TEA,” one wrote. “I wanna know how they got back together! We love a good love island rekindling.”

They're currently enjoying a romantic break in Turkey (Instagram)Davide confirmed the break-up with an unusually formal statement on Instagram, in which she said he was “grateful for the memories and opportunities” the couple had shared, and would “continue to support Ekin [in] any way possible.” He added: “I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time,” leaving fans baffled over the unexpected break-up.
Ekin-Su refused to comment on the split until last week, when she wrote in a statement on her Instagram Stories that there had been “misleading” reports about their relationship in the media. “Despite the narratives, @davidesancli and I are on good terms, we both care about each other and I think everyone should respect that,” she wrote.
Ekin-Su and Davide were coupled up in last year’s Love Island, and won the £50,000 cash prize after scoping more than 63% of the public vote, beating runners-up Gemma Owen and Luca Bish. They then landed their own reality show, Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecomings, and the former actress even competed on Dancing on Ice earlier this year. Fans speculated marriage was on the cards when Davide presented his girlfriend with a promise ring in February, but just days after they appeared together at the premiere of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts in London, they had split.
