EastEnders fans hail Suki and Eve the 'perfect match' after emotional scenes

EastEnders fans have hailed Eve Unwin and Suki Panesar the 'perfect match' after emotional scenes this evening.

Eve (Heather Peace) has been struggling after learning that her sister died as the result of a drink driver. Tonight on the BBC soap, she confronted Caz over what she had done but before she could give Caz the same treatment her sister got, Stacey and Suki got there first and stopped her from doing anything that she would live to regret.

Taking to Reddit, one fan wrote: "Eve stole the show today, she was amazing, that first scene was brilliant. After years of being on the square it was very much needed to finally see the temper that landed her in prison.

"Also, for a while I thought Suki and Eve’s relationship was getting a bit too complicated and toxic. But todays episode really made me see that they’re both two lost souls that just need each other. They both lost themselves at 17 - Suki through her marriage to Nish & being closeted and Eve through losing her sister. They’ve both gone through life with nothing but anger and resentment, with Eve going to prison and Suki disowning Ash & Jags. Yet they have so much love for each other."

They added: "I don't care what anyone says, they’re soulmates and I can’t wait to see how their story develops. I also really hope they don’t get ruined by poor writing because I am seriously loving the Slater/ Panesar dynamic."

Another shared: "Suki is great this week. The Caz and Eve stuff has been really good as it combines some of the best actors on the show," as a third wrote: "Heather Peace is the best actor on this show I hope the continue to give her lots to do."

"Got to say, I LOVED Suki in this episode. Her showing her softer and caring side towards Eve but, most importantly, how she absolutely dominated Theo. Of course she would be the one to pick up on him straight off the bat," a fourth penned.

Other fans praised Heather's incredible acting - and loved seeing a different side to Eve.

"Heather Peace is an amazing actress. Thats all. Thats all I got from this episode. I love her humour lines but to see a different side of her, she's pulling it off well, I just wanna give her a cuddle," they wrote.
