New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has revealed how impressed he was after attending a Taylor Swift concert.

The music superstar performed three shows at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, New England, at the end of May. One of Swift’s concerts at the home of the Patriots went viral due to the heavy rainfall that impacted the show.

All three of Swift’s shows at the Gillette Stadium featured a 45-song setlist that captivated the thousands of fans watching. During one of the shows, Belichick was in the audience and was impressed by what he saw.

Speaking on WEEI's 'Greg Hill Show', Belichick revealed that he went to watch one of Swift’s shows at the Patriots’ home stadium. He said: "I saw a little bit of Taylor."

"That was pretty impressive," Belichick added, when asked about Swift performing in the rain. "She's tough, man. She just stood out there and played right through it."

Belichick was also if he had a favourite song by Swift, with one in particular getting mentioned. And the Patriots coach said that his choice was appropriate to him.

He said: "I'm definitely on the 'You gotta calm down,' that's pretty good. ‘You gotta calm down’. There's a lot of times when that's very appropriate. ‘You just gotta calm down."'

Belichick is busy preparing the Patriots for the start of the 2023 NFL regular season. The AFC East franchise have one more pre-season game left to play as part of their preparations, as Belichick and Co look to mount a challenge to be a Super Bowl contender.

Friday, August 25 will see the Patriots take on the Tennessee Titans in their third and final pre-season game. The other two resulted in a loss to the Houston Texans, while the game against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night was forced to be postponed following an injury to Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden.

Work will still need to be completed during practice both before and after the final pre-season game against the Titans. All of the work this summer has been building up to the Week One opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mac Jones is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Patriots in what will be his fourth season in the NFL. Bailey Zappe has got minutes on the field during pre-season and could be in line to be the back-up QB going into the 2023 season.
