Meghan Markle 'should give up title' for promotional career path, expert says
Meghan Markle has been told she should ditch her royal title if she is serious about a new career promoting goods.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, is rumoured to be ready to set up a wellness brand to rival the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop. But a royal expert believes she should only do so if she is prepared to drop her duchess title - and leave Prince Harry out of such an opportunity.
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward explained that the venture - as well as the potential relaunch of Meghan's popular blog the Tig - should only take place if Meghan is prepared to step away from the title.
Meghan has been told to leave Harry out of any promotional ventureSpeaking to Vanessa Feltz, Ingrid said: "Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned but I really don't think a duchess whose married to the King's son should be going around promoting goods. I mean, everything she wears she's been given and she expects that and working princesses and duchesses would never do that.
"I'm actually now of the opinion and I never have been before that if she wants to do that, regenerate her lifestyle blog, she really should give up her title and just be Meghan Markle and forget the Duchess of Sussex and leave Harry well out of it."

It's also been speculated that the mum of two could also become a kind of agony aunt, according to details filed with the US Trademark and Patent Office. Despite notable tensions between Meghan, her dad, sister and the Royal Family, her site would dole out “commentary in the field of personal relationships”, papers state. Insiders say Meghan hopes to rival Gwynnie’s mega-successful site, which does a lucrative trade in New Age wellness luxuries such as vagina-scented candles. Meghan founded The Tig, named after her favourite red wine Tignanello, in 2014 while starring in legal drama Suits.

The show was teased in its first official trailer last week. In the first look at the series the Duke of Sussex was seen making an emotional statement about family.
Footage from the Games is shown in the trailer alongside Harry giving a speech. In it, he says: "If your goal was to make your country proud, you've done it. If your goal was to make your family happy, you've achieved it. You are people of substance, of resilience, of strength, you have the heart of Invictus."
The show will follow the stories of six Invictus competitors and Harry has been the executive producer.
