Tracy Beaker star Chelsie Padley announces surprise arrival of cute baby girl
Tracy Beaker star Chelsie Padley has surprised fans by announcing the early arrival of her gorgeous baby girl.
The 32-year-old, best known for playing Louise Govern in the hit BBC kids’ series The Story of Tracy Beaker alongside Dani Harmer, shared the exciting news that she had welcomed her first child with fiancé Iain George in a post on Instagram, which featured a cute snap of the newborn snuggled up in her crib.
“GOLDIE RAYNER GEORGE. Hi world, I couldn’t wait to meet my Mummy and Daddy any longer so on Tuesday when I was 36+1 I gave them a little surprise…. 15/08/23 6lbs 12oz Pure perfection, we are beyond besotted,” Chelsie wrote. In the picture, Goldie can be seen asleep underneath a cosy blanket embroidered with her name, and a sign with all of her measurements was propped near her head.

The actress only recently announced she was pregnant (Instagram/ @chelsiepadley_)Her followers inundated her with messages in the comments, with many already guessing she had gone into labour as she wasn’t present on social media in the last few days. “Oh my heart she’s beautiful lovely congratulations guys xxxxx,” one wrote. “She’s beautiful!!! Congratulations and hope you recover well,” another added, as a third chimed in: “Congratulations! I knew it! You’d been to quiet hope you’re all okay x.”
“Omg she is absolutely beautiful! Congratulations to you both,” read another. “Congratulations to you both! What a gorgeous little gal with a gorgeous name!” one fan commented, while another wrote: “Oh wow!! Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl She's so lovely! Hope mama and baby are doing well xxx.”

Chelsie and her fiance were overjoyed at their daughter's arrival (Instagram/ @chelsiepadley_)She later teased her fans with an explanation of Goldie’s “wild” birth story, and revealed the four day old tot had jaundice, which is c common but harmless condition. “Thank you so much everyone who has sent messages and called me beautiful (I really am),” Chelsie wrote atop a picture on her Instagram Stories. “Mummy will tell you the wild and wonderful story of how I decided to enter this world soon but right now she's super busy feeding me yummy milk very often so I can get rid of this jaundice stuff.”
Symptoms of jaundice in newborns usually appear as yellow-tinged skin, and most babies get better within two weeks, as it’s caused by a build-up of bilirubin in their blood, as their liver is not yet properly developed. There is no treatment for jaundice, as the condition usually passes on its own, and it’s estimated 6 out of 10 newborn babies are diagnosed with jaundice.
