Dallas Cowboys players started fighting amongst themselves this week as a practice session turned ugly as the defensive unit looking to step up the intensity of training camp.

During pass-rushing drills, the Cowboys had their defensive lineman go up against offensive lineman in one-vs-one situations. Reports had suggested that the defensive line had been getting the better of the match-ups, with the offensive line becoming frustrated.

And in one play caught on camera, former Ole Miss pass-rusher Sam Williams had beaten rookie tackle Earl Bostick Jr, before the two kept hand-fighting after the play was over with.

Williams had then approached Bostick Jr, with starting center Tyler Biadasz reacting quickly as he absolutely flattened the pass-rusher.

That sparked a huge brawl amongst teammates, as defensive captain DeMarcus Lawrence reacted angrily to Williams being hit after the whistle - coming in and pushing Biadasz.

Seemingly every member of both offensive and defensive line were involved, with the coaches calling an end to the one-vs-one drills.

It's just the latest incident of the Cowboys defensive unit continuing to play with swagger, after star cornerback Trevon Diggs had words for his quarterback Dak Prescott.

On one play caught on camera by a reporter, Diggs shouted at Prescott 'shut your b**** a** up' as the quarterback scrambled with linebacker Leighton Vander Esch ready to hit him if they'd have been in a game. Prescott then threw the ball at Diggs as they both made their way back to their huddles.

Cowboys safety Jayron Kearse told reporters this week that the team is looking to be a tougher unit this season.

He said: "We aint taking no s*** from nobody — all 32 teams; we ain’t taking s*** from nobody. Whether it’s our offense or the next offense.

"We’re trying to show we’re the best in the business, so it gets spicy out here. It’s going to get spicy on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays; whenever we line up, that’s how we’re going to come."

Superstar pass-rusher Micah Parsons added that he doesn't care about getting into fights with teammates, and believes it could even help.

He told reporters: "I’m here to make them better. I push myself to the greater good and me pushing myself is only going to make them better at the end of the day.

"I don’t care who I’m up against. I don’t care if it’s Tyron [Smith], if it’s Zack [Martin], if it’s Tyler Smith — I’m going to beat the hell out of them."
