Britney Spears and husband Sam Asghari 'split' after one year of marriag'
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have reportedly parted ways after just a year of marriage, with the Princess of Pop's husband believed to have filed for divorce.
Britney, 41, and the burgeoning actor, 29, are reported to have called time on their one-year marriage. Sam is said to have moved out of the marital home he shared with Britney after a "nuclear" argument. An insider told TMZ: "It's only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce."
Sam allegedly approached Britney about cheating rumours. While it isn't clear if the rumours are true, the source said that what ensued was a heated argument. Britney has been photographed driving near their LA home without her wedding ring, and snaps of Sam on his Instagram show he's also ditched his.
The Toxic singer broke her silence with an unrelated but slightly odd Instagram post in which she talks about buying a horse. Alongside a snap of her riding a horse while wearing a yellow bikini and black hot pants, she writes: "Buying a horse soon!!! So many options it's kinda hard. A horse called Sophie and another called Roar. I can't make up my mind!!! Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on??? Either way I think I found my sweet spot with Roar."

At the time, Sam discredited the documentary, calling it "disgusting" and claimed took advantage of Britney and used her as "a money-making machine". He said on his Instagram story: "I found it absolutely disgusting for the people who were in her life when she didn’t have a voice, they went and told her story like it was theirs."

Sam has historically defended Britney from hateful comments. When Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline claimed that her sons were avoiding her, Sam was there hit back at K-Fed and say that the claims had "no validity".
He said on his Instagram story: "The boys are very smart and will be 18 soon to make their own decisions and may eventually realize the 'tough' part was having a father who hasn't worked much in over 15 years as a role model."
Sam and Britney first met in October of 2016 on the set of her music video. They made their relationship 'Instagram official' by January of 2017. After years of dating, Sam proposed to Britney in 2021.
Sam and Britney were unable to wed under the terms of the conservatorship. Towards the end of 2021, her conservatorship was terminated and they were able to move forward with the wedding. In 2022, they held a private ceremony, where she reportedly did not invite her parents. Sam later shared a cute montage of moments with Britney and called her "the woman of his dreams".

Britney does reportedly have a prenup. It is meant to protect her assets, but it is also possible for Sam to receive some financial compensation if they do divorce.
After he proposed, Sam did admit on his Instagram story that there was a prenup. He wrote: "My phone exploded today! Thank you for the overwhelming love and congratulations! We both love every single one of you! Thank you for your concern about the prenup! Of course we’re getting ironclad prenup to protect my Jeep and shoe collection in case she dumps me one day."

He said: "She's wearing the pants. And something with my relationship is, it's very hard, but something about a secret and something about spontaneous things and privacy — you don't get that anymore - so I'm really trying to respect that. Not only for her but for me. Because I want to have this amazing future, and if you practice that now, I think it's always going to be there."
Britney has been divorced twice before. She was famously married to Jason Alexander for only 55 hours. Jason reportedly crashed Britney and Sam's wedding, claiming that Britney 'didn't look happy'. She has always been married to Kevin Federline, the father of her children.
Neither Britney or Sam have commented on the rumors yet. The Mirror has contacted Britney's team for comment. Both of their social media accounts have been rather quiet. Britney has mainly been posting her iconic dancing videos and some fashion posts. Sam, on the other hand, said he'd be taking a social media break following his mother's accident.
