Strictly fans 'work out' Angela Rippon's pro partner after discovering big clue
Strictly Come Dancing fans are confident they've worked out who Angela Rippon's professional partner will be after discovering a major clue ahead of the series beginning.
The veteran TV presenter, whose career has spanned more than 50 years, was announced as one of the famous faces set to take part in this year’s hotly-anticipated series later this year, and is set to become the oldest contestants in the BBC show’s history at the age of 78.
The celebrities’ professional partners are kept under wraps until September, but diehard Strictly fans think they’ve worked out who Angela will be paired up with, despite the news not being announced yet. The BBC are yet to confirm or deny any of the rumours circulating on social media.
Many believe Neil Jones will be teamed up with the beloved TV star, as Anton Du Beke, who usually gets partnered with the older contestants, is now a full-time judge, and 2021 champion Giovanni Pernice is out nursing an injury, leaving his future on the show in doubt.

Neil joined Strictly back in 2016, and was married to fellow pro Katya Jones - who he still works alongside - for six years before they split in 2019. The former couple stayed together for 10 months after Katya was pictured kissing her then-Strictly celebrity partner Seann Walsh, but eventually decided to part ways.
The professional dancer was finally catapulted to the main professional dancer line up in 2019, when he was partnered with former footballer Alex Scott, and the pair finished in fifth place. Last year, he teamed up with actress Nina Wadia, but the couple got the boot in the first week.
Angela has candidly spoken about her nerves ahead of taking part in Strictly, and said it will be “quite an adventure” as she’s been a fan of the Saturday night show since “day one”, but was baffled that it had taken bosses so long to ask her. “Why didn’t they ask me 10 years ago,” she quipped.
“It would be wonderful if I could last long enough, a few weeks, and demonstrate even at my age that it is genuinely possible for people that are older to be able to dance, to keep fit and strong, and help with their posture and balance, and to feel a million dollars,” she explained.
Other celebs joining Angela for the upcoming series include Les Dennis, Annabel Croft, Nigel Harman, Bobby Brazier, Jody Cundy, Zara McDermott, Ellie Leach, Nikita Kanda, Adam Thomas, Eddie Kadi, Layton Williams, Angela Scanlon, Amanda Abbington and Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
