Britney Spears made 'inevitable decision' amid rocky relationship with her sons

Britney Spears has made the "inevitable decision" to put herself first amid her troubled relationship with her sons, according to a relationship expert.

The singer, 41, has been estranged from her children Jayden and Sean Federline for a year. Reports have suggested that "communication between them began to dwindle by the end of the summer 2022", with the boys even missing her wedding to Sam Asghari in June last year.

Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline, who she shares her sons with, has suggested Jayden and Sean opted not to see their mother due to her often risqué social media posts. The Toxic hitmaker is known for posting content in which she dresses in bikinis or very short shorts.

Despite their unease with the racy content, Britney continues to share the posts. Relationship expert Kate Mansfield has said she would have had to make the difficult decision to prioritise herself.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, she said: "Prioritising her image, likes and popularity above how her sons feel about her behaviour will undoubtedly have consequences, and probably negative ones. That's not to say that she's wrong, but that it's an inevitable decision that we have to make as parents, to what extent we are willing to modify ourselves to protect them."

She suggested Britney's behaviour online will impact her sons "in a variety of ways". Kate told us it can result in "dysfunctional modelling" and the "normalising of inappropriate behaviour".

In Britney's latest racy video, she showed off her pole dancing skills. Captioning the post, she said: "Got this pole two days ago and last night was my first time on it !!!"

In the clip, Britney spun around the pink pole while wearing a leopard print bikini and matching opera gloves. She also wore black heeled boots and was filmed hoisting herself into the air.

Britney's long blonde hair flowed down her back and she decided to go for a full face of makeup, complete with pink lipstick. The superstar turned comments off the post.
