Prince Harry won't speak to Kate Middleton 'without Meghan Markle's blessing'

Prince Harry will not speak to sister-in-law Kate Middleton in private "without Meghan Markle's blessing", according to a royal expert.

The Princess of Wales reportedly reached out to the Duke of Sussex to "tell him to keep his chin up" and not worry about "temporary setbacks" such as the collapse of his Spotify deal. The pair were said to chat frequently during "late-night phone calls".

However, royal expert Kinsey Schofield has refuted the claims and said neither Kate nor Harry would go behind their partner's back. Harry has had a tense relationship with his brother Prince William after making shocking claims about the Royal Family.

Kinsey, host of the To Di For Daily podcast, said Harry is trying to act "defiant" amid the family drama. She added: "I personally don't believe that Harry would speak to Catherine privately without Meghan's blessing."

The expert also said Kate and William are too "laser-focused on their goals" to worry about the drama with Harry and Meghan. She added that they've "made it a point to distance themselves".

Speaking to Fox News, Kinsey said: "A significant amount of William's unhappiness toward Harry revolves around Harry and Meghan discussing Catherine so openly to Oprah and within Spare. Catherine is very respectful of Prince William's feelings and wouldn't go behind his back." The Mirror has approached representatives for Harry and Kate for comment.

Harry and William had once enjoyed a close relationship, but that all changed after the Duke of Sussex stepped back from the Royal Family. After moving to America, Meghan and Harry made an explosive documentary in which they made a number of allegations against The Firm.

Harry alleged that his brother left him terrified when he "screamed and shouted" at him during the Sandringham summit. He also claimed members of Kensington Palace had then "lied to protect my brother".

Elsewhere in the docuseries, Harry accused his father King Charles of saying things that "simply weren't true" while the late Queen "sat there and took it all in". In the show, he said: "It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that just simply weren't true.

"And my grandmother, you know, quietly sit there and take it all in. But you have to understand that, from the family’s perspective, especially from hers, there are ways of doing things and her ultimate, sort of, mission, goal/responsibility is the institution."
