Adele has sparked baby rumours after being in left in tears by an adorable meeting with fans at one of her recent Las Vegas shows.

The A-list singer shared a special moment with expectant parents, Shantelle Lord and Chris Dare, after the New York couple asked her if she would announce the gender of their baby.

Adele, 35, gushed as she accepted an envelope that revealed whether they would be having a girl or a boy, much to the excitement of the onlooking crowds. The interaction began after the Someone Like You singer, who has a nine-year-old son with ex husband Simon Konecki, noticed a woman in the audience of her Weekends With Adele show holding a sign that read, "Adele, will you do our gender reveal?"

The musical icon then saw that Shantelle was sporting a baby bump and discovered that she was "18 weeks" pregnant. It didn't take much convincing for Adele to take the card from them, despite acknowledging that it probably should have been confiscated by security.

"Do you know...nobody's really allowed signs in here, but I'm just obsessed that you got one in," the Tottenham native said.

"I'm just honoured that you're going to do this for us," Shantelle replied. "We've known for 12 weeks and we have been waiting for this moment."

Adele then got down on her hunkers to rip open the envelope, before lifting the mic to her lips to share what was written on its card.

"So, Shantelle and Chris are having a baby boy," she told her audience of 4000 fans, before leaning in to give the overjoyed parents a warm hug. "That's amazing, I'm so happy for you," the visibly moved Grammy-winner gushed. She then appeared to crumble into happy tears, admitting the moment was "so emotional."

"If and when I get pregnant, will you do my gender reveal?" she then asked the couple, who nodded enthusiastically in response to the A-lister's request. Adele also said she'd invite them to her potential baby shower, before thanking them again for including her in the special milestone. "I was so honoured to do that," she wept. "That was so lovely."

This isn't the first time that Adele, who has extended her Las Vegas residency until November, has talked openly about having another baby. Speaking about her family goals last September, the mum-of-one told Elle, "I definitely want more kids. I'm a homemaker and I'm a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music." She also emphasized her intention to give her son, Angelo Adkins, a little sibling in the near future while appearing on The Graham Norton Show last year.

The Easy on Me singer revealed that her postponed Vegas residency needed to be complete by 2023, because of she had "plans" to complete outside of the show . She quickly shared what these plans could be, much to the delight of the BBC host and viewers at home. "Imagine if I have to cancel the shows because I'm having a baby," she quipped. This echoes her previous remarks on BBC 4's Desert Island Discs, in which she told host Lauren Laverne that she "definitely would like a couple more kids."

Adele has been engaged to Rich Paul since February after first meeting the US sports agent at a party in 2021. The powerhouse couple began dating two years after the renowned superstar ended her marriage of three years from Simon Konecki. Adele has reportedly remained amicable with the charity CEO, however, telling Oprah in 2022 that she still trusts him with her life to this day. It's understood they continue to co-parent Angelo, who lives with his celebrity mum and Rich at a $58 million house in California.
