Cristiano Ronaldo has raised eyebrows after a cheeky distraction tactic was spotted by fans on social media.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner appeared to wipe sweat on a rival's face just before a set piece during Al-Nassr's Arab Club Champions Cup final victory against Al-Hilal on Saturday. Al-Nassr won the game 2-1 in extra time thanks to a brace from Ronaldo.

In the viral video, Ronaldo is spotted rubbing his lower back and looking at Saudi Arabia international Ali Al-Bulaihi. He then touches Al-Bulaihi's face before the Al-Hilal defender reacts by nudging the Portuguese superstar away and appearing to tell him off.

Al-Nassr's triumph in the Arab Club Champions Cup final means Ronaldo has won his first trophy since moving to the Saudi Pro League in January. Several top players have followed Ronaldo to the Arab country since his huge move from Manchester United.

Although Ronaldo was smiling after completing his brace against Al-Hilal, his game ended in agony after he was stretchered off with a knee injury. It's unclear how long the Real Madrid legend will be unavailable for in a blow to Al-Nassr's title hopes.

Ronaldo missed Al-Nassr's opening Saudi Pro League game of the campaign to Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq on Monday. Sadio Mane opened the scoring for Al-Nassr before goals from Robin Quaison and Moussa Dembele snatched a 2-1 win for Al-Ettifaq.

Jordan Henderson captained Gerrard's side in his first league game since leaving Liverpool last month. It's hoped Ronaldo will be fit sooner rather than later, with Al-Nassr taking on Al-Taawoun in their next game on Friday.

A number of teams will be confident of winning this season's Saudi Pro League title following huge investment in the division from the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund. Al-Ittihad are the defending champions.

Ronaldo's Al-Nassr have signed last year's Ballon d'Or runner-up Mane from Bayern Munich, Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan, Ivorian midfielder Seko Fofana from Lens and Brazilian defender Alex Telles from Man Utd, among others.

Al-Hilal have also spent big this summer. Their signings include Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves from Wolves, Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea and Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio.

Al-Hilal are on the verge of completing one of the biggest signings of the summer after agreeing an £86m fee with Paris Saint-Germain for Neymar. The Brazilian superstar is expected to complete his transfer in the coming days.

Al-Ittihad have invested significantly in their squad in a bid to defend their Saudi Pro League title. Ballon d'Or holder Karim Benzema has joined from Real Madird, while Fabinho, N'Golo Kante and former Celtic winger Jota have also made the move.

Some of the Saudi Pro League's other stars include Al-Ahli's quintet Edouard Mendy, Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez, Allan Saint-Maximim and Franck Kessie. The PIF own a 75 per cent stake in Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli.
