Three men found dead in car parked at elementary school with fourth hospitalised
Three people have been found dead inside a car parked in a school lot.
Police found the three dead men in the car outside Jonathan Jennings School in Indianapolis around 8:15am on Monday. A fourth man in the car was taken to a hospital, but his condition wasn’t immediately clear.
There were no obvious signs of trauma to the individuals, according to police. Images from the scene show a police Incident Command Vehicle arriving - with reports of the parked vehicle involved being a Lincoln Navigator with temporary plates.
Students reportedly remained onsite as classes continued in the Jonathan Jennings Elementary School. A number of cordons and police vehicles remain on the site as an investigation continues.
The Indianapolis school district said in a statement that one of the men in the car was intoxicated, but did not say which one. The district said buses were rerouted to avoid the scene and students at the school were safe.

A car, with several deceased people and one intoxicated person inside, was parked on a lot at the school. Buses to school were rerouted to avoid the scene. IMPD and IPS Police are on the scene and investigating.
"Students at the school are safe. IPS will continue to keep the safety of all students at the forefront of their educational experience."

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the entire family - including an 11-month-old baby - was found dead in an SUV car in their garage.
Officers had begun to conduct a sweep of the house for explosives after finding a note on the front door suggesting the property was booby-trapped. It said there were bodies inside, urging anyone to avoid entering. Police gained access to the garage and found the dead bodies in the evening, the chief continued.
