'Nervous' Princess Kate 'secretly attends 24-hour music festival' with friends
Kate Middleton reportedly let her hair down at a music festival last weekend - and left William at home with their children.
The Princess of Wales is understood to have been talked into going to her first festival during a dinner with friends earlier this year - after feeling "nervous" about the idea at first.
Last weekend she was said to be among the 10,000 people who let loose at the Houghton Festival, billed as the UK’s only 24-hour event which plays electronic music in the Norfolk countryside.
She attended the event with friends and left husband William at home with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Catherine was nervous about the idea, but, after much discussion with her protection officers, she went with lots of security. William wasn't there.”

The friends who talked Catherine into attending the event are believed to be the Marquess and Marchioness of Cholmondeley, David and Rose. An online post by festival organisers read: "A celebration of art & music in the Norfolk countryside, thank you to all those who came to Houghton 2023."
Kensington Palace declined to comment when approached by MailOnline. The Mirror has approached the Palace for comment.
More than 10,000 people attended the popular Houghton Festival last weekend (Houghton Festival /Instagram)This is not the first time the Princess has shown her love of music as last year the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wowed delighted crowds with their dance moves as they were welcomed to a village in Belize. Prince William gave a little shimmy when they were treated to welcome dance in the village of Hopkins - known as the country's happiest village.
Kate was first onto the dancefloor, cutting shapes with nine local schoolchildren from the Garifuna Cultural Centre. Future King Wills appeared a bit more hesitant before being beckoned to show his moves to the local ‘punta’ style dance as groups of children cheered him on waving Belize flags. It wasn't long before Wills began dancing with local organiser Laura Cacho and they were soon holding hands and gyrating to the music as locals screamed in delight.
She said afterwards: "That was so exciting. A dream come true.It was fun, he was a good dancer and I told him he got the Garifuna culture in him. He did the punta dance better than me. He shook his waist to the music. He had beautiful rhythm. It was a pleasure for me. Kate was excellent as well and definitely has Garifuna culture in her.”
