Prince Harry missed his wife Meghan Markle and their two children "very much" during his trip to Asia with his friend Nacho Figueras.

Yesterday, the two pals took part in a polo match in Singapore to raise money for the Duke of Sussex's charity Sentebale, which supports vulnerable young people across Lesotho and Botswana. Harry played for the Royal Salute Sentebale Team against the Singapore Polo Club Team and the game ended in a 7-7 draw.

Harry and Nacho travelled to Japan and then Singapore without their wives, taking part in a series of events before heading back home. Speaking on behalf of Harry, professional Argentinian polo player Nacho, who is married to socialite Delfina Blaquier and has four children with her, revealed the two friends missed their wives.

Nacho told The Telegraph: "We miss our wives very much. This was a very short trip, although it’s a few days, it’s a lot of travelling for 24 hours in Japan and a few hours here, but we miss them. We wish they were here." He then added: "We go back tonight so we will see them soon." The polo player added it was "wonderful" to spend some time with Harry, describing how "he cares about doing good".

Talking about the Duke of Sussex, Nacho said: "He's very committed. That's what he is. It's in his DNA and that's why I like him so much. Being able to spend so much time together has been a wonderful thing. I always say that the first thing that [struck] me about Sentebale before I knew anything about it was his commitment to the charity, how much he cares about doing good.

"I could see that first-hand when I went to Lesotho with him, we have been there two or three times. He's the first person to point out that there's something that can be better. It's very inspiring."

It comes as Meghan was spotted wearing what looked like a wellness disc that is loved by Hollywood stars. The drug-free treatment – which costs £1,000 a year – boosts gaba neurotransmitters, reduces stress hormones and improves sleep, according to its US makers NuCalm.

A source said: "They are becoming very popular in the US. Wearers say they can help people battle a range of ailments, including stress, insomnia and pain." Meghan was seen wearing the patch while she was out walking with a bodyguard near her home in Montecito, California, on Thursday. The mum-of-two, 42, has faced a number of setbacks this summer.

In June, Spotify announced it would not be renewing its three-year, £15.6million podcast deal with Meghan and husband Harry's firm, Archewell Audio. Taylor Swift turned down a personal invitation from the former Suits actress, it was claimed, while Spotify boss Bill Simmons reportedly called the Sussexes "f***ing grifters".

But earlier this week, the couple got a lift when it was revealed they had bagged the film rights to the hit book Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune. They are due to produce the film for Netflix when the Hollywood scriptwriters' strike is over – although it has also been claimed the streaming giant is unlikely to renew its $100million deal with the pair come 2025.
