Helen Flanagan got cruelly mum-shamed again after revealing where she gets her kids’ school shoes from.

The 33-year-old took to Instagram to share some cute pics of daughters Matilda, eight, and four-year-old Delilah in their back-to-school gear, even though they have only just broken up for the summer holidays. Telling her one million followers she was “getting organised”, the former Coronation Street star wrote: “So for once I’m actually organised for back to school. Wish I actually looked so calm and put together for the school run.

“Picking up the perfect going back to school shoes for my girls from @schuh that they both love. Can’t cope with how cute Deliah looks on pic 3... how is she not going into reception and into year one.” Revealing the shoes - which cost £30 and £119 to buy - had actually been gifted to her girls, Helen ended the post with: “I always buy my kids shoes from @schuh #wewearschuh #AD.” But it didn’t go down well with some of her followers.

One wrote: “Shame on you @schuh for giving away free school shoes to ‘celebs’ when LOTS of families are struggling. Really poor choice of advertising. Give some away to parents who really need them.”

“Freebies?” another asked as a third trolled: “Literally using your kids to shill, absolutely shameless behaviour. No doubt to pay for some more lip fillers or some other nonsense for your continuing quest to be ‘somebody.” Others leapt to Helen’s defence with one commenting: “Look at the pure jealous folk on this who said she got them gifted?! She’s a single mother and thriving and she might possibly have been gifted the uniform.. go and have a day off.”

While another chimed in: “Everyone has to make a living... maybe Helen is really happy with these types of shoes and wants to share with fans.” Helen, who shot to fame playing Rosie Webster in Coronation Street, revealed she now works full-time as an influencer and regularly posts collaborations with brands for her followers to see.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the mum-of-three – who also shares two-year-old son Charlie with ex Scott Sinclair – said she finds being on social media “quite therapeutic” and plans to share more with fans in the future. She admitted adjusting to life as a single mum hasn’t been easy and told fans she still feels “lonely” sometimes, as she has always been in serious relationships since the age of 17.

Helen and Scott were together for 13 years and he proposed to her at Disneyland Paris in 2018, but they publicly announced their shock split in October, after parting ways in the summer of 2022. They had planned on tying the knot in 2020, but after the pandemic cancelled their nuptials after having second thoughts, and eventually had to tell the guests the wedding was off.
