Beat the sun bed wars in Spain with a £10 lounger hack
Hot-headed holidaymakers have been in the news over the last few weeks with reports of tourists "reserving" their sunbeds very early in the morning or last thing at night, placing towels on the beds and leaving them empty for hours.
While putting a towel down is nothing new for Brits abroad, this year some Spanish resorts have seen hotel guests physically fighting to claim their place around the pool with officials having to become involved to calm furious fun seekers in Torremolinos.
In order to avoid the chaos in the Costas, enterprising Brits have been packing compact chairs, blow-up beds and even inflatable air loungers in their cases.
Lightweight and small easy to carry, air loungers just need a couple of swooshes to inflate. By simply collecting the air inside by moving the opening forward in one swift motion, travellers can trap enough air to lounge comfortably on, even if the poolside is calm and still and protected from sea breezes.
Cheap to buy, these portable beds fold up flat for transport, and if you struggle to find space in your case on the way back home, the £10 price tag means it's no big deal to leave your lounger behind.
