Logan Paul sends message to Conor McGregor after announcing comeback
Logan Paul has told Conor McGregor "you're next" after announcing his comeback fight against the Irishman's close friend and teammate Dillon Danis for later this year.
The YouTube star has spent the last two years away from boxing after going eight rounds with Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout, and will return for his first proper fight since 2019 when he faces Danis in Manchester on October 14. The bout will serve as a double-headliner for KSI vs Tommy Fury on an event being billed as 'The PRIME card' after their drinks business.
McGregor was one of the thousands of social media users to tweet about the fight yesterday, declaring his excitement at Danis returning to action after four years out of the Bellator cage. He shared a tweet and Instagram story with a flame emoji that read "Dillon Danis Returns," as well as a poster for the fight where Paul's face is covered with a man in a wedding dress emoji.
Paul hit back quickly on social media, writing two McGregor "you're next" in a tweet that was viewed over 1.4million times in less than 17 hours. The fight will take place over six rounds of three minutes, under full professional rules but sanctioned by the unofficial governing body of the PBA, as opposed to the British Boxing Board of Control.
Danis was due to face KSI back in January, but pulled out for seemingly little reason weeks out from the fight. Paul has since insisted that he will be fined $100,000 if a doctor of his team's choosing cannot diagnose a medical issue worthy of skipping this event, which is expected to be one of DAZN's biggest for the year.

"That's my concern - I'm convinced he's not going to show up," Paul said during a recent episode of his podcast Impaulsive. "The clause is this; if he pulls out because of some sort of injury that he fakes, a doctor of our choosing has to verify the injury and if he is indeed faking it he has to pay $100,000.
"There is a pullout clause - but that's the other issue, this guy's broke, he sucks, he's the parasite of the MMA and combat world. That's why I took the fight initially because Inshallah if he does show up, I get to be the one to take an eraser and remove him from existence.
"His name will never be uttered again, he'll die that night twice. Physically and his name, his legacy, all disappears. Legacy? That word can't even be in the same sentence as Dillon Danis but I figure he's a good opponent but he's a punk - he claims he can fight but he never shows up to fights. But if he does, we're going to put him to the test for sure."
