The shooting comes after a pregnant mum was shot dead outside an Amazon warehouse Lakeville, Minnesota, US.

Kyla O’Neal, 31, was with her ex-fiancé, with whom she had just split up, on the evening of January 8, when she was found shot inside a parked vehicle outside the Amazon warehouse.

Her ex-fiancé and father of the baby, Donte Rapheal McCray, was arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter. The mum was rushed to a nearby hospital but died following her injuries.

Katina said Kyla ended the relationship with McCray, who reportedly worked at the Amazon facility, hours before she died. Kyla, who also had another daughter with the suspect, leaves behind four children in total.

Katina said: "All she ever thought about doing was making a life for her and her kids. She was looking forward to this birth." Police Commander William Gerl commented it would be a "miracle" if the newborn baby survives.
