Robert De Niro spotted back home after woman's arrest linked to grandson's death
Robert De Niro is back home in the States with his family following a recent summer trip to Naples, Italy, and was spotted in a parking lot in the Hamptons, New York.
The legendary actor was seen strolling in a parking lot as he talked to someone inside a car on Monday afternoon. The Irishman star, 79, was wearing a casual-comfy outfit sporting a loose fitting grey t-shirt and knee-length cargo shorts paired with a black pullover jacket accessorised with a grey hat, eye glasses, and flip flops.
The sighting in New York comes after the Goodfellas star just got back from a lavish summer holiday to Naples, Italy following the tragic death of his 19-year-old grandson Leandro De Niro.

The official cause of death of 19-year-old Leandro De Niro Rodriguez has not yet been revealed (Instagram/@drenadeniro)On July 2, the teenager was found 'unconscious and unresponsive' after a 911 call to a building on Wall Street in New York, according to police reports. The cause of his grandson's expected death has not yet been revealed, however, there has been a recent arrest in the case last month. On July 14, a woman named as Sofia Haley Marks was arrested in connection to the death of Leandro.
The alleged drug dealer, known as the Percocet Princess, reportedly sold Leandro drugs before he was found dead inside an apartment in New York City. The 20-year-old woman was reportedly arrested during an undercover string operation that was carried out by the NYPD, Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security. According to the New York Post, she has been federally charged with the distribution of narcotics.

The teenager's death was described as sudden and his grandfather Robert has been reported to be in a 'very dark place' following the devastating news and has found his death very hard to process.
In a statement, the 79-year-old actor said: "I'm deeply distressed by the passing of my beloved grandson Leo. We're greatly appreciative of the condolences from everyone. We ask that we please be given privacy to grieve our loss of Leo."
