Francis Ngannou promises to "shock the world" in fight with Tyson Fury
Francis Ngannou is confident he can "shock the world" by handing Tyson Fury his first professional defeat.
Former UFC champion Ngannou makes his boxing debut on October 29 against Fury in Saudi Arabia. The fight will take place under traditional boxing rules and go on both men's professional records, but Fury's heavyweight title won't be on the line as Ngannou is not ranked by the WBC.
Ngannou's chances of winning have been written off by many fans and pundits, but 'The Predator' isn't paying any attention to his critics. Heavyweight legend Mike Tyson will work alongside Ngannou's MMA coaches to train him for the fight and the knockout artist has vowed to show off his boxing skillset in the crossover bout.

"I think just talking about my power is going to be a huge mistake," Ngannou told Sky Sports. "We are going to shock the world and show the skillset, showcase the work we have been doing behind the scenes. I am not taking this lightly, it's very important and I know that it's going to be very challenging for me.

"I am taking every single thing seriously, this for me is the biggest fight of my career. As every fight should be, but this one is the most important. I respect him as I respect every single one of my opponents, which I should. Being intimidated by him? No, I am not intimidated by him and I am not intimidated by anybody."
Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou fight on October 29 (Top Rank Boxing /Youtube)Ngannou vacated his world title and parted ways with the UFC at the beginning of this year in the hopes of securing a big-money boxing fight. His chances of doing so looked slim when Fury was linked to an undisputed clash against Oleksandr Usyk, but Ngannou's gamble paid off when that fight fell through once again.
Although he will be making his ring debut on the night, Ngannou feels he is more than comfortable with facing a world-class fighter such as Fury. "I have been there so many times in the octagon but it's the same thing," Ngannou added. "When you have somebody in front of you whether it's an octagon or a ring, doesn't matter what you're inside.
"It's about going there to fight and focusing on your opponent, I have a lot of experience of being in there now with a high-level fighter in front of me."
