Nate Diaz backtracks on threat to sue Jake Paul following brawl during face-off

Nate Diaz will NOT be suing Jake Paul following the brawl which marred their face-off on Thursday.

The social media star and the UFC legend managed to keep their heated face-off civil, but their teams ended up swinging punches - with one reportedly sent to hospital. Paul immediately took to social media to claim Diaz was threatening a lawsuit, but has confirmed to reporters in Dallas today that Diaz's team have said they were in contact too soon.

Paul insisted he is "in his head" after the pair finally came to verbal blows last night at their pre-fight press conference, before confirming that the potential lawsuit has been cancelled. The pair are due to fight tomorrow night, providing Diaz makes the 185lb weight limit as expected.

"Nate's energy? I'm in his head," Paul insisted this morning after weighing in with the help of a towel. "And they 'Diaz's team' said, 'Oh our bad, our lawyer tried to sue you too fast, we didn't tell him to do that'. But that's bulls***. The lawsuit's off!"

Following yesterday's brawl, Paul said: "S*** popped off, Nate's team started throwing punches at my security guards. My security guards dropped his team and it's just a little warm up for what's going to happen Saturday night." He later claimed one of Diaz's team was sent to hospital after the brawl and that the UFC legend was planning to sue his opponent.

"Nate’s team has emailed my team trying to claim assault after his team swung first," Paul wrote on Twitter after the event, which saw the pair finally begin to get heated as fight day approaches. "Apparently the guy who swung first is at the hospital getting stitches. Hilarious these fake gangsters acting like this!"

He later added: "All out warfare, eye for eye. You threatened MVPs co-founder who has been a partner to you and your team every step of the way? He’s put your best friend on over and over again. Stupid. Then your team wants to swing on us…so you got served a three piece and a biscuit. Punk. It’s time for goodnight."
