Jake Paul explains why he won't rewatch first boxing defeat to Tommy Fury

Jake Paul thinks rewatching his first boxing defeat to Tommy Fury would do more harm than good.

Paul, 26, looks to rebound after his loss to Fury in February when he takes on UFC legend Nate Diaz this Saturday in Dallas, Texas. The YouTube boxer could retire if he suffers his second defeat on the bounce despite reiterating just days ago that he still has ambitions of becoming a world champion.

Fury is now set to take on Paul's bitter YouTube rival KSI as the pair meet in Manchester later this year. Paul was beaten by split decision when he fought Fury as a knockdown in the final round wasn't enough to secure him the win. 'The Problem Child' explained the mistakes he made in the lead-up to facing Fury and insisted there isn't any point in him watching the fight back.

"I haven't rewatched the fight, ever because I know I performed like s*** and so I'm basically just gonna be watching a terrible version of myself that I know is not what I was capable of," Paul told FreeStylebender. "There's really no need to watch it. What am I gonna take away from having a terrible performance and a terrible camp? Everything went wrong in the lead-up. It would almost do more damage, I think, to watch it than it would good."

"There was so much to learn but most of it had to do with the lead-up, the preparation. The fight is a direct byproduct of the training. I learned a lot about myself and a lot about not trying to take shortcuts in this sport. We tried to do this six and a half week camp, but we were sick for about three to four weeks of that.

Paul is keen on trying to avenge his defeat to Fury but will first have to get past Diaz, who has frustrated 'The Problem Child' by not taking part in much of the pre-fight promotion. Paul did admit that losing to Fury was more beneficial than any of his previous wins as he looks to correct his past mistakes against Diaz.

"The list goes on and on, cutting too much weight too quickly which kind of shocked my body. I've learned more from a loss than I have for all of my wins combined. I'm not saying those things as excuses, I signed myself up for a fight that I personally wasn't prepared for. I have to deal with those consequences and nobody else does, but I learned a lot and made a lot of changes for this camp," he added.
