As the July weather proves to be a washout here in the UK, we've found some cheap last-minute deals that could see you soaking up the Turkish sun in temperatures of 30 degrees and more.

While the heatwave in the Mediterranean has made headlines for all the wrong reasons, resorts in Turkey are experiencing the type of sizzling seasonal highs that we Brits go mad for. Holiday companies like Love Holidays, On The Beach and Jet2 are offering sunseekers great deals on seven-night stays leaving as early as next week, and the forecast between now and the middle of August looks absolutely perfect for lazing around the pool.

Budget holiday company, Loveholidays has some low-cost holidays available in the Dalaman region of Turkey, home to the beaches and bars of the ever-popular resorts of Oludeniz, Icmeler and Marmaris.

Beach lovers who are packed and ready to go can depart from London Gatwick on Monday, August 7 and enjoy a week a the Hibiscus I and II Apartments for £364 per person.

They are also offering a seven-night stay at the High Life Apartments for £376 per person or a week at the Nature Apartments for £377 per person, all departing next Monday. Loveholidays fares include return flights, accommodation and one piece of hand luggage measuring no more than 25x55x25. Hold luggage and hotel transfers cost extra.

For travellers looking to get away in mid-August, the mid-range forecast is still predicting highs of 35 degrees and lows of a blistering 31 degrees.

Holiday specialists On The Beach are offering seven nights at the Kaan Apartments for £398 per person departing on Monday, August 14 leaving from London Gatwick. Alternatively, savvy sunseekers could choose to stay at the Ozlem 1 Apartments for £411 per person, or the Dilhan Hotel for £422 per person.

Escape to the upscale Marmaris Bay Resort in Turkey (Jet2)

If money is no object and you really can't wait to get away from grey days in the UK, Jet2 is offering an all-inclusive seven-night stay at the upscale Marmaris Bay Resort for £1,045 per person, departing on August, 15.

The higher price tag is still a good deal for a week in this exclusive adults-only resort with its picturesque pool, relaxing spa and choice of bars and restaurants.

The price includes return flights, accommodation, 10kg hand luggage and a 22kg baggage allowance per passenger.
