Peter Andre says he knows Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague's love is for real and having his own reality TV romance.

Tommy and Molly-Mae first met in the Spanish villa and have gone on to become one of the most successful couples on ITV show Love Island. The pair hit it off early in the fifth series after she arrived as a bombshell and the pair enjoyed a hot tub date.

But some have questioned if it's the real deal, despite the arrival of baby Bambi and their recent engagement. They have always defended their love, even taking a huge early step by buying their dream £4million six-bedroom home in Cheshire.

Peter knows all about falling in love on TV, after he famously met Katie Price in the I'm A Celebrity jungle. He clearly isn't buying the cruel comments that their relationship is just for show.

Writing in his OK! Magazine column, the singer says he's over for the moon for his pal Tommy and and his fiancee Molly and he said: "It’s lovely to hear the news that Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are engaged. Tommy is a friend and I’m so happy for him.

I always say they’ve shown that Love Island really can work. They went into the villa, met, fell in love and have stayed together. It’s a true love story, and their proposal video was fab. Many happy years, guys."

July will be a month they always remember after the boxer popped the question. The Love Island stars shared the magical moment when she said 'yes' despite some not being sold that it was a surprise.

Taking to Instagram, Molly-Mae, 24, posted a gorgeous black-and-white video, showing her holding their daughter Bambi as Tommy, 24, got down on one knee. She penned: "Forever. 23/07/23" with an engagement ring and a crying emoji.

In the clip, Molly-Mae wears a white jumpsuit as she walks towards a cliff where Tommy, in a suit, is waiting with Bambi surrounded by hundreds of roses. As he gets down on one knee and asks that all important question, Molly-Mae can be seen overcome with emotion in floods of happy tears.

Sharing pictures from their special day, Molly-Mae shed some light on what happened as she wrote: "Just before we were leaving for a 'brand event' we'd both been invited to... fake invites, fake emails, notes in the hotel room from the brand, everyone playing along so unbelievably well...

"I've never known a surprise to be pulled off like this. I was COMPLETELY and utterly fooled. It was only when we pulled up to the 'event' and Tommy jumped out of the car and ran off and I was handed a letter that I realised all was not what it seemed."

Once Molly arrived at the secret location, she soon realised something was up and she gave her fans more details, branding the proposal as "perfect."
