The Chase's Mark Labbett celebrates glam girlfriend's birthday with lavish date

The Chase star Mark Labbett and his new girlfriend Hayley Palmer put on a loved-up display as they enjoyed an intimate dinner date in London.

The couple headed out to the busy streets for a night out to celebrate Hayley's birthday at the lavish OXO Tower restaurant in South Bank as she turned 42.

Mark - also known as The Beast - and Hayley Palmer have been getting closer and closer this summer and were seen holding hands and grinning from ear to ear before entering the busy restaurant.

The quiz brain, 57, showed off his slim figure in a grey blazer suit and white polo shirt paired with black shoes, while Hayley, 42, wore a stunning bright red dress with a plunging neckline and silver high heels. The couple hit it off at the National Television Awards in October 2022 before they went official a few months ago.

Hayley has previously spoken about her blossoming romance with The Chase star, and said they had been set up by her agent, who also represents Mark. She told MailOnline that she was impressed with after he appeared on her YouTube show, Saturday Night with Hayley Palmer, and got almost every question right during a 80s-themed quiz.

The couple, who recently travelled to America together, are reportedly “determined” to make their relationship work, and have been on several low-key dates while Mark - who is also dad to a six-year-old son - is busy filming. "Mark and I have both been working and filming, but we've been able to make the most of our time together" , Hayley said.

Mark split from his wife and second cousin Katie, with whom he shares son, Lawrence, in 2020. The pair tied the knot back in 2014 and welcomed a baby son four years later.

Opening up about the divorce last year, the TV star said: "we are separated but we get on really well, we co-parent." When the former couple met, Mark said they were both unaware that they were related: "It wasn't something we were aware of at the time - it was one of those things that happened," he said.
