Arsenal are aiming to build on their positive 2022/23 season this term under Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners have already spent heavily in an effort to do that, with the likes of Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz among those to have arrived at the Emirates Stadium this summer. That trio has cost Arsenal around £200m.

The Gunners’ spending might not be set to end there either, with an array of other targets having been identified. Meanwhile, there could also be a few sales between now and the end of the current window.

Take a look at all of the rumours coming out of the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours:

Ajax drop Kudus hint

Having already signed Timber from Dutch giants Ajax, Arsenal are attempting to reunite him with former teammates Mohammed Kudus.

Ahead of any potential deal for the Ghanaian, Ajax chief and former Arsenal man Sven Mislintat has suggested that he would be best served staying in Amsterdam. Speaking to Aglemeen Dagblad, he said: "There is no fixed deadline, but there are agreements we must have to get replacements if we have not already done so proactively.

"The best thing is if Kudus and (Edson) Alvarez stay, then we keep two top players. But it is also possible that one goes, or both."

Kudus, 22, has just two years remaining on his current contract with Ajax.

Awe deal 'agreed'

Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal with Southampton for young Gunners’ defender Zach Awe. According to the Telegraph, the 19-year-old is set to move to St Mary’s after a compensation package was agreed between the two clubs.

The Saints are said to have beaten off strong competition to sign him with Huddersfield and Leicester among the sides to have been credited with an interest in the past. Awe has been part of Arsenal’s youth setup since 2012.

He was handed a place on the bench for the senior side in a Premier League clash against Wolves in February 2022 but did not manage to make an appearance before his release.

Gunners respond to Inter’s Balogun bid

Arsenal have reportedly rejected Inter Milan’s opening offer for striker Folarin Balogun. According to Sport Mediaset, the Italian giants are eyeing the Gunners’ academy graduate as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

It is further suggested that they have also made their first attempt to sign him with an offer of £25m up front with a further £5m in bonuses. However, that has been deemed unsatisfactory by Arsenal who have demanded that Inter up their bid.

It was previously reported that Arsenal had set a £50m asking price for Balogun after the striker shone with Reims in Ligue 1 last term.
