BBC Breakfast star Nina Warhurst has revealed the adorable name of her newborn baby girl.

Taking to Instagram, Nina shared a series of wholesome snaps from the past four weeks as she revealed that she and her husband Ted have named their newborn daughter, Nance.

She told her 25,000 followers: "4 snaplets of me and Nance from each of the 4 weeks we've watched her slowly waking up this world.

"We've lost all sense of time as we've been feeding and snoozing ad gazing and toe-stroking and head-smelling and marvelling at the absolute wonder of it all."

Detailing what life had been like the past few weeks, the new anchor revealed: "It's been *haaard tho! A harder pregnancy. A tougher delivery and a longer recovery... maybe it's being older... but also I'd somehow forgotten."

"I'd forgotten the anxiety of labour moving from the plan. I'd forgotten the swollen scars, bleeding breasts, mastitis fever, hormonal crashes, clots, constipation, codeine withdrawal, exhaustion... And this time the added funk of a nose bleed (y tho?)

"But part of getting older is getting better acquainted with your limits and letting go.

"I'm better at stopping and saying no to visitors and yes to a messy house and yes to asking for help. (A turning point was crying down the phone to the GP - resulting in a glorious prescription of kind words, antibiotics, painkillers and a follow up call about how I was coping). "

Nina added: "We are on the right track - for now - and enjoying life in the slow lane... usually with Australian MAFS and Italian red drinks... what a combo.

"Women and their bodies (parents or not) are complex and resilient that it fills me with immense pride. I can't wait to tell you all about it my sweet girl."

It is the third child for Nina and her husband Ed Fraser.

The happy couple were already parents to two sons, Digby, seven and Michael, five, but have now welcomed a little girl.

Revealing Nina had given birth earlier this month, Nina's BBC Breakfast colleague Sally Nugent told viewers: "Some very exciting news now about our colleague Nina Warhurst, who we said goodbye to not very many days ago as she went off on maternity leave.

"She has welcomed a very healthy, beautiful baby girl."

At the time Nina and husband Ed had yet to decide on a name for their new arrival, but it seems Nance could be short for Nancy.

Fans were quick to comment on the new photos and sent well-wishes to Nina and her family underneath the post.

One wrote: "Aw what a lovely post!" while another said: "These pictures say it all. Blessings be with you and your ikkle Nance."

Others praised Nina for being so honest about what it's like to be a new mum.

"Fantastic. Beautifully written with honesty. Gorgeous photos filled with love," one fan said.

While another commented: "More people should be open and honest as you are being Nina. No shame in asking for help and accepting it, no shame in struggling it happens to us all."
