Mum's emotional message as missing girl walks into police station after 4 years
The mum of a teenage girl who had been missing for four years has expressed her relief and joy that she has reunited with her daughter.
Jessica Nunez spoke after her daughter, Alicia Navarro, reappeared four years after she went missing in September 2019, in a mysterious case with lots of unanswered questions. Police have no idea where Alicia was and with whom before she walked into the police station of a small town about 40 miles (64 kilometres) from the Canadian border in Montana and identified herself.
She had vanished from her home in Arizona on September 15, 2019, leaving a note behind her that she would come back. Her mother confirmed that her daughter had been found but said she had no details. In a video message posted on the Facebook group 'Finding Alicia', she thanked the community and God.

Ms Nunez feared Alicia had been lured away by an online predatorMs Nunez said: "I do feel I owe this video to the community and to God because first of all, I want to give glory to God for answering the prayers and for this miracle. For everyone who has missing loved ones, I want you to use this case as an example that miracles do exist and never lose hope and always fight.
"My daughter, Alicia Navarro, was missing since September 15, 2019. She has been found safe. I don't know the details. I do confirm that she is my daughter, she is alive and she is safe.

It was an hour before it was posted on social media and the news. I don't have details but the important thing is that she is alive and I want to thank the community and God for all that you have done."
Alicia's disappearance sparked a massive search that included the FBI. Police spokesman Jose Santiago said over the years, police had received thousands of tips. Ms Nunez had previously told police that Alicia, who was diagnosed as high-functioning on the autism spectrum, may have been lured away by someone she met online.
The name of the town where Alicia reappeared wasn't immediately disclosed but Montana is more than 1,000 miles (1,609 kilometres) from Arizona.
Alicia vanished when she was 14“She is by all accounts safe, she is by all accounts healthy, and she is by all accounts happy,” police spokesman Jose Santiago said at a news conference.
Investigators were trying to determine what happened to Navarro after her disappearance at age 14 on September 15, 2019. Police said Navarro told them that she hadn't been harmed. Police said she wasn't being held and could come and go as she pleased. She does not face any criminal charges, they added. “She is not in any kind of trouble,” Mr Santiago said.
When she disappeared from her home, Navarro left a signed note that read: “I ran away. I will be back, I swear. I’m sorry.”
Alice talks to policeLieutenant Scott Waite said that Navarro had an “emotionally overwhelming” reunion with her mother and was “very apologetic (as) to what she has put her mother through.”
Police earlier released a clip showing Alicia speaking on a video call with investigators. The young girl appears in distress as police ask her questions to determine her condition. Asked about whether someone has hurt her, she replies 'No', and then she mumbles and touches her face in agony trying to find her words.
"Thank you for offering help to me," the girl says, appearing in agony towards the end of the video.
