Emmerdale fans rumble affair twist as Bob finally learns of Wendy's deception

Emmerdale fans are sure they've rumbled a twist after Bob finally learned of Wendy and Liam's affair.

Wendy and Liam have been having an affair behind Bob's back, after bonding over their love of murder mystery novels. Things soon blossomed between the pair and they ended up taking things to the next level as their affair continued to rumble on.

However, she has been feeling increasing guilt about cheating on Bob, which hit full force this evening when she and Liam lied about a sepsis awareness course and instead headed out to Newcastle for a night away together.

When she arrived, Wendy's guilt was only worsened when she found a note Bob had left for her, which read 'miss you', before she received a text message from Bob asking about the course and how it was going.

Full of guilt, she decided to break things off with Liam and booked her own hotel room. He was left devastated by her decision but ultimately accepted her reasoning for going back to Bob and calling off their affair.

Bob, meanwhile, headed to speak to Bernice and thank her for supporting him. He hadn't listened to Bernice when she said they were having an affair, but later called the hotel and confirmed there was no course and they had only booked one room.

Fans are convinced they've worked out how it will all end between the pair - and predict new romances would form.

"Wendy gets back and catches Bob & Bernice in bed together.......#emmerdale," one wrote, as a second added: "Bernice and Bob are so gonna sleep together it's obvious they have more chemistry than Bob and Wendy tbh #Emmerdale."

A third shared: "So Bob is going to sort out Bernice, Wendy is going home and find them together... maybe goes back to Lusty Liam."

Actress Susan Cookson - who plays Wendy - previously revealed what brought the pair close.

Explaining what might have led to them getting close, Susan told us: "They're work colleagues, they get on, there's a mutual respect as colleagues but I realised the other day, there is a little bit more to Wendy and Liam.

"He knows about her past with her husband and the drug problem and she went to prison for a year because of her husband. There always seems to be confusion with the public that Wendy isn't a qualified nurse but she is, but she qualified under a different name and it was when Russ turned up that she tried to do the right thing and hand her notice in, and she told Liam and he said her secret was safe with him. So I think there is a respect between the two of them and an understanding."
